My expectation for 2021

When I think about 2021, it is very difficult for me to think about what will happen, what will our way of continuing to do our normal routines be like or what it will be like to return to classrooms or face-to-face work. And I think that maybe the same thing happens to all of us because we are living moments of absolute uncertainty, but if we talk about expectations, because that for me now is talking about small dreams and longings for 2021, and the truth is that at this moment I have several expectations for the next year that is already to come.

On the one hand, I have high expectations that soon we can have a vaccine that will help us to live again as we did until a few months ago. The truth is that I have a lot of faith in this because I hope to be able to return to the university in person and to see my friends every day, to be able to recover the moments of conversation and the good memories of nine months ago.

I also hope that if we do not get a vaccine against Covid-19, at least we can continue to be responsible, and hopefully even more than we have been until today, so that we can even have a little of the life we had before.

Now, as for other issues that come out of the pandemic that has plagued our country and the world since March of this year, I have great desire and expectations about being able to see some friends again that I have not been able to visit in person for a long time. , even before the pandemic began in Chile. But not only are my friends, I also hope to travel to Quintero to see my grandmother and my little cousins that I have not been able to see during this time either since due to Covid-19 as a family we have preferred to stay away from them as a method of care, since none of us want to infect them, especially my grandmother who is an elderly person.

My future job

Before entering the University, it was very difficult for me to be able to visualize myself in a career because almost all the ones that seemed interesting to me were jobs in offices and I always told myself that I did not want to spend the rest of my life locked between one office and another. But now when I think about my future job I can't help but think that I made the right choice, since I chose a profession for my future that will allow me not to be in the same job from Monday to Friday. It is for these reasons that I think journalism is a great profession for me and for all the people who believe that they are not cut out for offices.

In fact, among the things that fascinate me about studying journalism is that there is the great possibility that I can travel and visit many different places thanks to my future career. Which also gives me the opportunity to work times in closed but also open spaces.

Now, I am not very clear about what exactly I want to specialize in first, but I do know that I would love to learn much more about investigative journalism, about how to deal with issues of sexual diversity and women in the press, as well as delving into more in knowing how to carry out quality miscellaneous programs and with educational content on television and radio.

My pet

In my house we have many animals, to be exact there are eight, among which there are six cats and two dogs. But today I will speak specifically about one of my oldest cats, despite the fact that they are all very important to me and I love them very much.

My cat is called Chitin and he is 9 years old. It is a fairly large cat as it weighs seven kilograms and is very furry. He also has very big green eyes, which I find very tender when he tries to get my attention by approaching my face and meowing very low, since he has never been a very talkative cat.

Chitin came into my life one day when my older sister brought him home as a very small cat as she found him and his brothers thrown out on the street. Chitin was barely two months old.

For me Chitin it is very important since he is one of my oldest and sweet cats, besides that he has been a constant company from the first day he arrived at my house.

My hobbies during the quarantine

During the beginning of my quarantine I had a lot of free time, so I went back to old ways like drawing and painting with different techniques that I learned during my time at school. I dusted off all my pencils and paints and set my mind to creating all kinds of ideas.

Now last, I have only been drawing animals and enjoying every moment that I can paint my own drawings.

I've also taken this painting to a higher level and started restoring some old furniture in my house that no longer looked so good. I have painted them with pastel tones and changed some things, they have been projects that I have shared with my mother as well, which has made that activity even more fun for me.

Another hobby that I have, and that I have tried not to give up, has been sports. This activity has helped me a lot to manage the stress of being locked up and to be even more active during the days, it is also a hobby that I share with a friend who lives a couple of houses from mine, so it has also helped me to to be able to see her even three times a week and talk about the things that happen to us during the week.

So, the only thing I hope is to be able to continue adding hobbies to my quarantine time, and not to leave the sport, although sometimes I get lazy.
